Can I join the tour if I don’t live in Australia?

Certainly. To book your place on the tour fill out our registration form. If you have any questions please contact us via email at info@greatvietnambikeride.com

Can I arrange my own flights?

We have proved the option for you to book your own airfare should you wish to use a budget carrier. We can book your flights on Vietnam Airlines at the best rates available on the day you confirm.

How many riders will there be?

The Great Vietnam Bike Ride caters for a total of 40 bike riders. There will be 20 in the 12-day tour and 20 in the 16-day tour.

Is there any training and preparation assistance?

As our guests will be coming from around the world, we do not offer any training, however, the fitter you are, the more enjoyable the trip will be.

How can I pay my balance?

If you have paid a deposit, we will email your Tax Invoice so you can pay the remaining balance by 10th of December, 2016.

When will I receive my plane ticket?

Your will recieve your tickets once payment is received in full.

When will I receive my Visa for Vietnam?

Shortly after you have booked, we will contact you for some further information so we can arrange your visa. We will have your E-Visa for Vietnam ready at least one-week prior to departure.

On Arrival

What happens when I arrive at Ho Chi Minh/Saigon airport?

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Vietnam Immigration who will fast track you through customs. After collecting your bag, and clearing customs, you will then need to make your way to the domestic terminal (about a 5-minute walk) to catch your domestic flight to Hanoi.

Upon arrival at Hanoi domestic airport, The Great Vietnam Bike Ride crew, tour guides, and drivers will welcome you.

You will then be transferred to the hotel, where we will have welcome drinks and a gourmet dinner.

In Vietnam and On-the-Road

If I need some help, who do I contact?

Upon arrival in Vietnam, we will give you the contact details of your guides should you have any questions or need any assistance.

What kind of support is provided on the road?

Before departing each day, you will be briefed on the ride by your guide. While riding you will be supported by a crew who can fix your bike (if there are any problems), pick you up if you need a break, and give you more water.

Which bikes will we be using?

We will provide each bike rider with a GT Mountain Bike for the ride.

Do I need insurance?

We recommend that you take out full comprehensive travel insurance for your time in Vietnam. We will also request a copy of your travel insurance, just in case, so we can help you as fast as we can if needed.

What happens if I am injured or become unwell whilst on the trip?

The Great Vietnam Bike Ride provides First Aid and has a nurse in the unlikley event it is needed. Our guides are trained for emergencies and will quickly organise appropriate support.

If you require a doctor, you will be taken to an International hospital for treatment. We will arrange all transport for you.

What will I be eating on The Great Vietnam Bike Ride?

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on each ride day.

Breakfast is also served on rest days.

I have specific dietary requirements. Can you cater for me?

We can cater for Vegetarian, Gluten-free, dairy-free and seafood-free diets. If you have specific dietary requirements please contact us, so we can assist you
